(circularity projects)

Circularity is about being innovative and challenging the actual linear economy and its negative impacts. It is based on three pillars: to reduce waste and pollution; to keep materials and products in use; and to regenerate natural ecosystems. Encouraging creative solutions to manage product lifecycle means embedding a circular design strategy into design briefs, with products’ end of life in mind. It’s not a minimal adjustment but a systemic shift of the business model.

Our code of conduct guides your sustainability journey. It’s an assessment method, specifically crafted for the design sector, which covers the entire value chain: raw materials, manufacturing, product design, packaging, distribution, including personnel. At each level, we analyze, optimize and verify progress from both an environmental and social point of view. This includes our network of responsible suppliers for several materials as well as guidance on certifications that are relevant for each product.

Keeping business in a regional loop strengthens the local economy, empowers local resources and know-how and builds resilient communities. Scaling retail projects and commercial events to a local level is essential to act against climate change. A sustainability brand book frames the visual identity and the editorial principles. It defines your mission, values, and the way you speak to your communities. Consistency in actions, language and graphic identity is key to building a powerful brand statement.

A sustainability report gives you the means to share your efforts on environmental and social matters. It’s also the opportunity to take an in-depth look at the actions achieved for/with the people, products, and the planet. But above all, it’s a tool to set a strong agenda for the future, from manufacturing processes and emissions, to diversity, inclusion, and gender equality.

The way we design a product determines its emissions throughout its lifecycle, from the manufacturing process to distribution to recycling. Giving designers and development teams the tools to design low-impact products is one of the most powerful actions to reduce long-term footprints. This means thinking about the impact of materials and designing a product that is responsible from cradle-to-grave at the jumpstart of the creative process.
